Stockton, CA – November 4, 2024 – Stockton Metropolitan Airport will host Kids Aviation Day, a special event designed to inspire children's interest in aviation. Join the airport for a festive day filled with airplanes, helicopters, drones, and hands-on aviation and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) themed activities aimed at sparking curiosity and introducing youth to the world of aviation and its many opportunities.
"We're delighted to host this event and hopefully spark a lifelong passion for flying in kids from our community," said Airport Director, Richard Sokol. "Our goal is to show these kids that there are multiple opportunities in the aviation industry and that a path toward a rewarding well-paying career is within reach. Whether their future job is a pilot, engineer, aircraft mechanic, or flight crew, the possibilities are endless."
The airport has partnered with local organizations and nonprofits to provide a wide variety of aviation and STEM-themed activities, offering youth a chance to explore the exciting world of aviation. Airport tenants will also participate, showcasing different aviationrelated careers and sharing their love of aviation with the community.
Kids Aviation Day runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024. This event is open to the public and free to participate. Event parking at the airport terminal is free for the day.
