The reconstruction of a large portion of the general aviation ramp at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport was one of four county transportation projects that were the focus of a trip to Washington, D. C., by a delegation of representatives from San Joaquin County businesses, governments and agencies.The delegates, the Stockton Record reports, spent three days in Washington D.C. last week advocating with federal lawmakers for the local projects, as part of the annual One Voice delegation.The other projects included:
The final design and construction for modification and expansion of the interchange at State Route 99 and Highway 120;
A new passenger track from the new Altamont Corridor Express rail maintenance facility at Alpine and West Lane to the Robert J. Cabral Station;
Widening Navy Drive and constructing an over crossing above several rail system tracks leading into the Port of Stockton’s West Complex.
Funding for all four projects requested is $32.47 million.
